Rihanna covers the August issue of Seventeen magazine. In the interview, Rihanna discusses the thrill of fashion, happiness and being yourself.
On Fashion: "The thrill in fashion for me is taking a risk and daring myself to make it work. Even when I go shopping, I always buy something twisted. I'm going to figure it out somehow. I'm going to put some shoes, hat or sunglasses on with it to make it my own. Taking it risks - that's the thrill in fashion."
On Finally Being Happy: "It's really liberating. It makes you feel so proud when you look back and see how much it took you to actually get here. And it's the best feeling. I'm really enjoying life right now."
On Being Yourself: "Don't be afraid to be yourself just because you're not like everybody else in class. If you want to dye your hair green and that's what makes you happy, then dye your hair green-no matter what other people might say about it. Not everybody is going to like you-that's the world we live in; that's reality."
