Bedbug Infestation Closes Hollister Store in New York City

BedbugThe Wall Street Journal reports that a Hollister store in New York City has closed because of bedbugs. A sign on the door says the store is closed for maintenance, but it is the bedbugs that have forced the Soho store to close. Hollister is an Abercrombie & Fitch retail chain.
A spokesman for Hollister, an Abercrombie & Fitch company that sells clothes popular with teenagers, confirmed the infestation. The bedbugs, he said, were "affecting certain isolated areas of the store. Our primary concern in any situation of this nature is our customers and associates. We are taking all necessary steps to eradicate the problem as soon as possible, and expect the store to reopen shortly."
The Cut has more details on the Hollister bedbug infestation. They say employees have been bitten by the bugs. They also note that anyone who shopped at the store recently may have brought bedbugs home with them. Yuck.
