Chain Store Agereports that Bed, Bath and Beyond plans to open 55 to 60 new stores in fiscal 2010. Bed, Bath and Beyond's stores include the Bed, Bath and Beyond stores as well as Harmon Stores, Christmas Tree Shops and BuyBuy Baby. The company did specify exactly which types of stores it will be opening.
Bed, Bath & Beyond expects sales to increase this year, but Bed, Bath did not meet analysts expectations in its most recent quarter. The company said its first-quarter sales climbed 13.5 percent.
