Fresh to Launce Eat Pray Love Fragrances, Candles

Photo of Fresh's new fragrances Eat Pray Love

Someone in the film marketing department at Sony pictures deserves a raise for coming up with this promotional idea. To coincide with the release of Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts, Fresh has created three fragrances and three candles inspired by the film. It's a fantastic idea. Stylist reports:
"Eat" celebrates the sweetness of Italy's famous desserts and wines, with notes of bright lemon and basil balanced by creamy cannoli, caramel, meringue, and vanilla that is topped off with sparkling Prosecco and Limoncello.

"Pray" journeys to India's sultry incense and spice history with jasmine, pink pepper, patchouli, amber, juniper berry, cardamom, and musk for a woodsy scent laced in exoticism.

"Love" captures the emotion with notes of bergamot, red currant, mango blossom, jasmine, sandalwood, and velvet amber, and is inspired by Indonesia's tropical and sunny floral landscape.

Each one ounce scent will retail for $32, while a darling travel-sized candle collection of all three scents will be $45. All items will be available in Fresh stores and on Fresh.com.

Co-founder and fragrance designer Lev Glazman jumped at the chance when Sony approached him with the idea. He read the book and was inspired more with each chapter, he said.

Tying a fragrance to a film has been done before -- remember Diesel's Iron Man packaging for Only the Brave fragrance for men (the bottle was shaped like a fist)? And there are loads of Twilight tie-ins. But this is the first truly high end collaboration we've seen, and we love Fresh already. There will be a travel size trio of the candles which will retail for $45. Put that with a copy of the book and you have a fabulous gift. The line will hit Fresh stores on July 15th.
