Renowned CNN sports broadcaster
Nick Charles has died at the age of
64. He had stage four bladder cancer.
Nick was the original CNN sports anchor,
a position he held for 17 years.
Nick did many rounds of chemotherapy
and radiation, but eventually
lost his battle.
Nick told his five year old daughter that
he was dying so it wouldn't be such a shock for her, and focused
on his spirituality. He told her would
be waiting for her in Heaven one day. He was
a true fighter and a great talent
who will be missed. CNN's Sanjay Gupta looks back at Nick's life and shows footage of an interview he did with Nick just a few weeks before he died.
