Ron Howard's PSA Starring Glenn Close Wins Silver Telly Award
Director Ron Howard hit a home run with his public service announcement ad starring Glenn Close, her bipolar sister Jessie and schizophrenic nephew Calen. The campaign aims to de-stigmatize mental illness. The ad, which was created by the watsons creative agency, won a Silver Telly Award.
The website for the campaign is bringchange2mind.org. Ron donated his time to the project and John Mayer allowed the campaign to use his song "Say" for free. Here's the PSA:
