So what's Twitter, anyway? If you still haven't gotten on board the Twitter Trend, here's the scoop:
Twitter is a microblogging or real-time short messaging service. People with an account on Twitter can post short updates on the Internet or with a mobile device. Once you have an account on Twitter you can follow other Twitter users and receive their updates, which are also known as tweets. The popularity of Twitter has swelled over the past twelve months as it has been mentioned by numerous media outlets and even discussed on popular talk shows like the Oprah Winfrey Show.
