ITN reports that Simon Cowell thought Cheryl Cole would be happier in the UK. Cheryl probably knows more about her own happiness than Simon Cowell does. Cowell reportedly also said that no one was ever supposed to know about Cheryl being booted from U.S. X Factor. That makes little sense. Cheryl had been invited to the U.S. for the upfronts and named as a judge on the X Factor website, so there was no way her being booted from the show could ever have been kept secret. Take a look:
