Taiwan Builds 100% Solar Powered Stadium for 2009 World Games
Taiwan is building a stadium that is 100% solar powered for the 2009 World Games. The solar panels actually fit perfectly with the design of the stadium unlike some structures where the solar panels look like an after-thought. The serpent-shaped stadium has 40,000 seats and uses a total of 8,844 solar panels. Inhabitat and Deputy Dog have more photos of the Main Stadium.
