President Barack Obama made good on a campaign promise to his wife, Michelle. The president and first lady jetted to New York for dinner and a Broadway show. They ate dinner at Blue Hill, a West Village restaurant, then headed over to the Belasco Theater to see an August Wilson, Tony-nominated play Joe Turner's Come and Gone, which is about black Americans in the early 1900s.
Michelle wore a black sleeveless cocktail dress which featured bands of ruffles on the skirt. She carried a turquoise blue clutch purse and wore Jimmy Choo shoes. She wore her hair in a sleek updo. Barack wore a navy blue suit, but ditched the tie for his night out with his wife. Take a look:
