David Beckham, international soccer star, has finally revealed his beauty routine after being named the world's Most Beautiful Sports Icon by People magazine. Beckham says that he has learned all his grooming secrets from his wife, Victoria, the former Posh Spice of The Spice Girls. This is London reports:
"I've learned a lot. Being out in the cold and rain doesn't help your skin, so moisturizer in the morning is a big thing.
And at night it's the eye cream. A manicure is probably my favourite pampering splurge."
Last year, Victoria Beckham revealed she smothers beauty creams on her husband at bedtime.
She said: "David is very much a new man, totally in touch with his feminine side. He loves having his face and nails done."
He also plucks his eyebrows and has spray-on tans, and famously wore pink nail polish at the christening of Elizabeth Hurley's son Damian.
Beckham is said to favour La Prairie eye cream, which costs more than £50 for 15ml.
The footballer also regularly changes his hairstyle and says his biggest regret was when a dye temporarily left it black.
He did share that he doesn't particularly care for the way his feet look, despite all those pedicures. Of course, one has to wonder about the effects of all that grooming. After Victoria got him so nicely tanned, moisturized and smelling nice, the British tabloids exploded with reports of various extramarital affairs (the couple is currently suing their nanny for blabbing secrets to the press). Coincidence?
