2011 National Memorial Day Concert Airs Sunday, May 29 on PBS
PBS will run its 2011 National Memorial Day Concert special this Sunday. The event, broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, will air live in HD on PBS Sunday, May 29 from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET. The event will open with a special segment remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11.
The concert will be hosted by Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna. The lineup of dignitaries, actors and performers includes Colin L. Powell USA (Ret.), Pia Toscano, Kris Allen, Forest Whitaker, Dianne Wiest, B.B. King, Jason Ritter, A.J. Cook, Hayley Westenra, Daniel Rodriquez and Yolanda Adams.
