Labelux Acquires Jimmy Choo From TowerBrook Capital Partners
Labelux, a privately held luxury group, has announced the acquisition of Jimmy Choo from TowerBrook Capital Partners. Legalux says chief creative officer Tamara Mellon and CEO Joshua Schulman will remain with Jimmy Choo in their existing capacity.
DealBook says TowerBrook had been considering taking Jimmy Choo public, but opted to sell instead. The company was valued at around $800 million, but the sale price was not disclosed.
Labelux has already added Jimmy Choo to the list of brands on its website. Some of Labelux's other brands include Bally, Derek Lam, Solange Azagury-Patridge and Zagliani.
