Kenneth Branagh's Thor held on to the number one spot at the box office this weekend and made another $34.7 million. Thor fended off a surprise threat from the R-rated comedy, Bridesmaids, which has received terrific reviews. Bridesmaids made $26 million. Fast Five finished third in its third week and theaters and made $20.4 million. Priest, starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet and Maggie Q, opened in fourth place and made $14.9 million. Rio finished fifth and added $8.2 million to its box office total of $125 million. The total box office overall was down 5% from the year efore.
