Allergy doctors have never been busier according to NBC News. Dr. Cliff Bassett at the Long Island College Hospital says it is "probably the worst allergy season I've every seen as an allergist." Grass pollens are the leading offenders this year. The pollen count should normally start falling this time of year, but abnormally high pollen counts are still holding. Record setting rainfall in parts of the country is being blamed for the increased pollen. Many people who have never experienced symptoms before are heading to the allergy doctor this season.
