Osama bin Laden Used Thumb Drives and Couriers to Send Email
Osama bin Laden did not have Internet access at his compound and Pakistan. He never sent email himself. Intelligence officials say bin Laden typed messages and then saved them on a thumb drive. The thumb drives were then passed to a courier who would send the email from an Internet cafe. The courier would also bring an incoming emails to bin Laden's compound on a thumb drive for bin Laden to read. Take a look:
