Stars Walk the Red Carpet at the Met Costume Gala

The stars came out for the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York last night. The co-chairs of the event were Anna Wintour and Oprah Winfrey. Oprah arrived with Oscar de la Renta. Oprah was wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta navy silk organza embroidered gown which featured navy and black degrade caviar beading and a dramatic ruffled skirt. Emma Watson wore a custom white Burberry gown. Taylor Swift wore a white, ruffled gown by Ralph Lauren. Anne Hathaway looked lovely in a blush sequined ballgown by Valentino. She accessorized with jewelry by Bulgari and a Ferragamo bag. Kate Hudson wore a gown by Stella McCartney. She accessorized with a clutch by Roger Vivier and jewelry by Fred Leighton. Katy Perry marched to the beat of a different fashion drummer. She wore a LED light-encrusted gown by Cute Circuit. She accessorized the look with shoes by Christian Louboutin and a stunning statement necklace by Lorraine Schwartz which almost made up for the wildly unflattering dress. Take a look:
