The Gap has partnered with Brazilian sandal maker Havaianas and transformed its rotating New York City concept store into an Urban Beach Flip-Flip Shop. The story opened today and carries the latest Havaianas styles, which range in price from $18 to $32. The store will be open until Saturday, June 13.
Sandal enthusiasts can add their own personal style to their Havaianas at the New York City store with embellishments, including pins [initials, stars and flowers] and crystals. On Saturdays and Sundays, consumers can visit the "Make Your Own Havaianas" customization bar to mix-and-match straps and foot beds to create unique Havaianas.
Gap stores nationwide have also started carrying select Havaianas sandals for women and men. The stores will carry Havaianas through August. The Gap says select stores will carry Havaianas year-round.
