Five Banks Fail Bringing 2011 Total to 39
Five more banks were closed by federal regulators today, bringing the total number of failed banks for 2011 to 39. Five banks were closed in three states, Florida, Georgia and Michigan. Here is the list of the banks closed today:
Community Central Bank
in Mount Clemens, MI
The Park Avenue Bank
in Valdosta, GA
Cortez Community Bank
in Brooksville, FL
First National Bank of Central Florida
in Winter Park, Fl
First Choice Community Bank
in Dallas, GA
