Michelle Obama Wears Monique Pean Sustainable Fine Jewelry

Michelle Obama has been wearing Monique Pean jewelry for Earth Month. The jewelry includes a Woolly mammoth handcarved scrimshaw cuff ($4,480); Mark Davis for Monique Pean Fossilized woolly mammoth ivory bangle with black spinel and smokey quartz, 18k recycled gold ($4,970) and Mark Davis for Monique Pean Fossilized woolly mammoth bone earrings with diamond and 18k recycled yellow gold ($1,550).

Monique Pean uses 100% recycled gold in her jewelry. She says her goal is "to reduce the demand for the dirty mining of precious metals." Monique also utilizes fair trade, and devastation-free and conflict-free stones. The jewelry is available at select retailers including Barneys New York, Ikram and Jeffrey NY

Michelle Obama also wore Monique Pean earrings on the cover of the December 2016 issue of Vogue magazine (seen below).
