Rich Prosecco Wine Doesn't Sell Well Despite Golden Paris Hilton
You probably remember the ad campaign that featured a naked golden Paris Hilton. The ad was for a sparkling wine called Rich Prosecco that comes in a can. The Sunreports that Rich Prosecco has failed to take off despite the Paris Hilton ad.
Last year, the dimwit socialite got together with a drinks firm to launch her own sparkling wine, Rich Prosecco.
But oddly enough, champagne in a can didn't take off and 30,000 units of her plonk are now sat gathering dust in a warehouse in Serbia.
A Stockport auctioneer has been instructed to get rid of the bubbly.
And they are offering the drinks to any interested bidders at bargain basement prices.
It could be that people don't want to buy sparkling wine in a can or that not enough people heard about the product before the recession hit. (via Luxist)
