Sony Temporarily Knocks $30 Off Sony Reader Pocket Edition
PC Worldreports that Sony is temporarily lowering the price of its lowest priced ebook reader, the Sony Reader Pocket Edition. The price has been lowered by $30 to $170. The reader will remain at this price until April 3rd, which is the day the WiFi-only iPad hits stores.
Those looking for ebook reader prices to get even lower may be in luck. The PC World article mentions a Forrester Research report that predicts ebook readers may eventually fall to the $50 range. The report says ebook readers will need to tumble that low in order to achieve mass-market status.
