Blockbuster to Get Warner Bros DVDs Four Weeks Earlier Than Rivals
Blockbuster announced it has cut a deal with Warner Bros. that will give Blockbuster customers access to Waner Bros. titles four weeks before other kiosks and subscription services can offer them. Blockbuster's website contains the graphic above that shows The Blind Side is currently available at Blockbuster but not at Netflix or Redbox. With the new Warner Bros. deal in place, Netflix and Redbox won't have The Blind Side available until four weeks from today.
The new Warner Bros. deal does not appear to extend to Blockbuster's digital service. In the press release, Blockbuster says the "digital agreement already in place remains unchanged."
