Walt Disney Signature Collaborated With Cappellini for DIFFA Event
Walt Disney Signature collaborated with Cappellini for this year's Dining By Design DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) event in New York City. A 3-dimensional sculpting of Mickey Mouse presides over the Walt Disney Signature and Cappellini dining installation. The Mickey sculpture is made of polyurethane, measures 10 feet tall from head to toe and weighs 86 pounds.
Walt Disney Signature's table centerpiece was created by the Krislyn design studio. It contains dried, twisted and sandblasted vine with hand lacquered oyster mushrooms and hand-dyed magnolia leaves.
The Disney dining installation also features Cappellini's iconic chair designs. Disney says Cappellini's Ribbon Stool (pictured below) with a Mickey Mouse twist, will be available in a limited edition release at the Milan Furniture Fair in April.
