Tilda Swinton Launching Fragrance Called Like This
WWDreports that actress Tilda Swinton is launching a new fragrance with French fragrance brand Etat Libre d'Orange. The fragrance will be called Like This. The Herald Scotlandreports that Etat Libre d'Orange promises Like This will not be like any other celebrity fragrance.
The firm has prized itself on celebrating alternative versions of beauty, which Swinton's ethereal and androgynous appearance seems to typify. Its only previous signature celebrity scent was created for and by Rossy de Palma, a Spanish actress and muse for director Pedro Almodovar whose look was famously compared to Picasso's bizarre cubist portraits.
Adding to the sense that this is a high-brow celebrity scent not to be found in the bargain bin of your local Superdrug is the fact that Swinton turned for inspiration to Sufi philosophy and the works of 13th century Persian poet Rumi in order to name her scent.
Like This will arrive in stores in New York City in June. The fragrance's key notes include pumpkin, tangerine, and ginger.
