Marketwatch reports that children's clothing retailer Gymboree has announced plans to expand its Crazy 8 store chain. Gymboree plans to add 75 to 100 new Crazy 8 stores this year. Gymboree is also planning to enter the Middle East.
It also has signed its first retail franchise agreement with Azadea Holding Group, which represents brands such as Zara and Mango, to expand its brand into the Middle East, which includes the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt among others.
TheStreet.com reports that investors have gone crazy for the Crazy 8 expansion. Crazy 8 is Gymboree's lower-priced children's clothing store chain, which should be popular as the weak economy lingers.
