Please be very careful dialing tonight if you're planning on voting for one of American Idol's 13 contestants. One of the numbers selected turned out to be live sex phone service, according. to Ryan Seacrest.
[I]t was uncovered just yesterday that the would-be dial-in number to vote for the late addition is actually a sex line.
"Crap, were gonna have a problem on Idol tonight—just dialed 1-866-IDOLS-13 and its not quite SFW," scandalized host Ryan Seacrest twittered this morning.
The number, along with its IDOLS-00 counterpart, brings the unassuming voter to the following message:
"Hey there, sexy guy...Hot horny girls are waiting right now to talk to you. Lie back, baby. Relax..."
There will be a new number announced on the air tonight, so be sure to use the new number if you're trying to vote for American Idol. Otherwise, you or your underage family members may get quite a surprise.
Update: Ryan now says more than one of the numbers now goes to an x-rated call center, so it looks like voting is going to be a big problem tonight.
