Rango, an animated western about a chameleon voiced by Johnny Depp, was the #1 film in the U.S. this weekend. Rango had a big box office take of $38 million. The Adjustment Bureau, a thriller based on a Philip K. Dick short story, came in second and made over $20.9 million in theaters. The film stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. Beastly, a new take on the Beauty and the Beast, starring Vanessa Hudgens, finished third and made $10.1 million. Beastly was followed by Hall Pass, Gnomeo and Juliet and Unknown.
Oscar Best Picture winner, The King's Speech, made another $6.5 million during its 15th week in theaters, pushing its box office total to $123.8 million. You can see the complete box office report for the weekend here.
