WiFi Only Version of Apple iPad Goes on Sale April 3rd
The Apple iPad is going on sale a little later than expected. The WiFi-only version of the iPad will go on sale on April 3rd. Apple called its device "magical" again on its website. Apple says customers will be able to pre-order both the Wi-Fi and 3G models on apple.com beginning on March 12th. The release date for the 3G version has not been announced but it is expected to be about a month after the WiFi device. This would have the 3G iPad going on sale in May.
"iPad is something completely new," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "We're excited for customers to get their hands on this magical and revolutionary product and connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before."
