Cesare Paciotti Creates Shoe Inspired by Dita von Teese
Cesare Paciotti has
created
a new shoe in honor of Dita Von Teese. The black platform ankle boot features a fourteen centimeter heel, and is covered in opaque sequins and silver studs. The shoe also comes in pale blue: that version is covered in hand-stitched cashmere. Paciotti lauds Dita's style which it says is a mixture of 1950s glamor and goth.
We have to wonder if someone is a bit confused. Dita Von Teese is not goth in any way, shape or form. Her former husband Marilyn Manson is goth -- perhaps they were thinking of him? He probably wears black platform sequin-encrusted ankle boots to go grocery shopping. Dita? Eh, not so much. Although anyone with goth or punk leanings is going to go nuts over these boots.
