Donatella Versace and Christopher Kane Relaunch Versus
Donatella Versace is
relaunching her accessories line called Versus. The accessories line debuted a capsule collection co-created by Christopher Kane. Kane was Verace's accessories consultant.
Clothes will follow in July. "It's a younger version of Versace, but with the same rock and roll spirit. Who better than Christopher to revive it?" she said. "He made so many sketches and they were all so good, we had a hard time editing." Hard is the definitely the operative word. When the black and silver leather shoes and bags and chain necklaces aren't studded with enormous faceted crystals, they're adorned with big gold clips. "The Versus girl is very different than our girl," said Kane.
The first collection features lots of black and silver, with clutch handbags, strappy gladiator sandals and some really cool flat black ankle boots.
