Kirsten Dunst Stars in Takashi Murakami and McG Music Video

Kirsten Dunst is dressed as a "majokko," a magical princess character from Japanese anime, in this four minute music video produced by Takashi Murakami and directed by McG. Kirsten Dunst sings the song "Turning Japanese" by The Vapors. The video was shot in Akihabara, a Tokyo shopping district known for its electronics and video games. The Wall Street Journal explains that the video was created for a recent exhibition at London's Tate Modern museum called "Pop Life: Art in a Material World."

McG told the WSJ, "There is a fundamental confusion of what a piece like this is doing in the Tate. It seems like a disposable music video, but then you look closer and realize that it is born out of something decidedly more complicated, decidedly Japanese but with a twist."

Kirsten Dunst is also a big fan of Sailor Moon and Japanese anime. The entertaining video is Takashi Murakami's first collaboration with a major Hollywood director. Take a look:
