Jason Wu's 2010 fall ready to wear collection was inspired by photographer Irving Penn. Penn's photographs provided the inspiration for the gold-touched pieces, and the photographs of Penn by Alexander Liberman were the inspiration for his menswear pieces. There were some cocktail dresses that weren't really up to snuff -- the exaggerated balloon dress, for example -- but there were plenty of pretty dresses all the same.
