Badgley Mischka's Fall 2009 show at Bryant Park was filled with gorgeous, red carpet-worthy gowns in jewel tones of burgundy, teal, bronze with lots of black. The bodices were fitted, with flowing skirts, sometimes with a silk chiffon or netting overlay. The bronze metallic evening gown and the burgundy sequined gowns are sure to make an appearance at a major event soon. The details included ruffles and pleating and lovely jeweled embellishments.
But the collection wasn't all evening wear. The day wear was stunning: there were black dresses with draping and fabulous overcoats in wool which were shown with black tights and black boots and some gorgeous basketweave. There was nothing austere about the day outfits.
