Mr. Potato Head Celebrates 60th Birthday

Mr. Potato Head celebrates his 60th birthday this year. Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head received a birthday cake at the Hasbro American International Toy Fair showroom in New York City.
Jerry Perez, senior vice president, Playskool, says, "For the past 60 years, the Mr. Potato Head toy has inspired imaginative play in young children and charmed fans of all ages through his roles in movies and on television. We're thrilled to see that he has evolved from classic parts and pieces to a household name that is 'rooted' in pop culture and entertainment."
New product introductions for 2012 will include a Mashly in Love Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head Anniversary Edition as well as a Birthday Spud set. There were also be new The Amazing Spider-Man Spider Spud and Star wars Darth Tater toys.
