Guitar Hero is being shut down. Activision Blizzard blames the demise of the games on a lack of consumer interest. The lack of sales is not isolated to Guitar Hero, as Viacom also shuttered its music game francise, Rock Band, last November. CNN says the "holiday season was a disastrous one for the music game genre."
