US News Lists 15 Companies That Might Not Survive 2009

US News has a report listing 15 companies that may no survive 2009. The list includes some companies that people interact with everyday. Kripsy Kreme is even on the list. US News says Kripsy Kreme "overexpanded during the donut heyday of the 1990s" and "still hasn't earned an operating profit in three years." They may have problems but donuts could be just the kind of comfort item people turn to in a recession. They do note that "It's possible that none of the firms on this list will liquidate, or even declare Chapter 11."
