Juicy Couture Co-founders Leaving Company

Juicy Couture LogoThe New York Post reports that Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy, the co-founders of Juicy Couture, are leaving. The Post article says that although the duo disagreed with CEO Bill McComb about price cuts, the real reason they are leaving is to do other things.
The real reason for the Juicy co-founders' departure, Skaist-Levy said in an exclusive joint interview with The Post, is that she and Nash-Taylor are feeling the itch to do other things.

They've netted more than $200 million since selling Juicy Couture to Liz Claiborne in 2003, and stepped down as co-presidents in 2008 to become creative directors.

"We stayed seven years, which is a long time," Nash-Taylor said.
A CNN/Money story from 2008 calls the Juicy Couture co-founders the "sultans of style" and says they sold out to Liz Claiborne for nearly $230 million. The two co-founders are likely to stay on as consultants. The Post says Liz Claiborne is now looking for a new creative director at Juicy Couture.
