Video: Lady Gaga and Elton John Open the 2010 Grammys
Lady Gaga and Elton John opened the Grammys last night -- and they were truly fabulous together. First Lady Gaga did a quick "Poker Face" performance, wearing a seafoam green beaded leotard with exaggerated shoulder pads and matching booties. Giorgio Armani created the costume for Gaga, which also included hot-pink eye patches. Gaga and Elton John were pushed out on the stage for a duet with double pianos, which were covered in arms with hands curled in Gaga's signature "monster" move (Gaga refers to her fans lovingly as little monsters). Both performers had their faces painted with streaks of ash. Elton John wore a celestial earring and glitter sunglasses; he wore his hair spiked.
The two performed a mashup of Gaga's song "Speechless" and Elton John's classic "Your Song." Elton changed the words of his song to say "How wonderful life is with Gaga in the world." They were really amazing together and pretty much brought the house down. Take a look:
