Nickelodeon Launching School Gyrls on February 21st
Nickelodeon is going to try a musical teen series in an attempt to recreate Disney's success with shows and films like Hannah Montana and High School Musical. Nickelodeon is launching a show called School Gyrls, which is about a teen rock band and stars Mandy Rain, Jacque Pyles, and Monica Parales. Kristina DeBarge, Pete Wentz and Justin Bieber are slated to guest star. The movie, directed by Nick Cannon, premieres on February 21st. The band's first single, "Something Like A Party," will be released on February 9th. There will also be a teen book series and a comic book.
