Vermont Teddy Bear Company Launches Recession-Proof Bear
The Vermont Teddy Bear Company is trying to bring a bit of humor to this "bear market." That's why they made the limited-edition "Recession-Proof Love" Bear for Valentine's Day. Only 200 of them will be made.
"We wanted to come up with a relevant Bear that recognizes where our country is at financially, and the 'Recession-Proof Love' Bear is an all-in-good-fun reflection of the current 'bear market,'" says Irene Steiner, vice president of marketing for The Vermont Teddy Bear Company. "This collectible Bear is a great way for couples to commemorate Valentine's Day 2009 when times were tough, but they made it through together."
