Al Sharpton Preaches, Christina Aguilera Sings at Etta James' Funeral
The Rev. Al Sharpton presided over Etta James' funeral. Etta's son spoke movingly of how he held her as she died. He said he got to share with her everything he wanted to say and she said she heard him. Here are some clips from the service:
Christina Aguilera sang Etta's signature song "At Last" at her funeral. Etta loved Christina and was very supportive of her, which is most likely why the family asked her to sing. And we all know Etta was no fan of Beyonce, and expressed extreme irritation that Beyonce sang "At Last" at President Obama's inauguration. Christina nailed the song which she sang in honor of Etta -- and her stylings were perfectly appropriate for the setting, although we don't think we've ever seen quite so much cleavage on display at a funeral.
