Blockbuster to Close 182 More Stores by Early 2011
Bloombergreports that Blockbuster is planning to close 182 stores by early 2011. These store closings will still leave the struggling movie and game retailer with around 2,800 stores despite closing nearly 1,000 stores over the past two years.
Bloomberg also says Blockbuster is planning on emerging from bankruptcy next year. Blockbuster has not shared its plans for 2011, but if they plan to keep many stores open they could try expanding into hot categories, such as gadgets or cellphones.
