The Vatican turned the lights on its 100 foot Christmas tree today. The large tree came from the Ardennes in Belgium. The CS Monitorreports that the tree will be recycled into children's toys after the holidays. The CS Monitor also notes that tree is just barely visible on one of the Vatican's webcams.
