San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers Game Opens in Darkness
The San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers Monday night football game was delayed by twenty minutes because of a power outage at Candlestick Park. The odd outage reportedly affected only Candlestick Park and no other customers. You can see the transformer blow and the stadium go dark in this raw footage. Take a look:
Update 12-20-11: ESPN reports that there were two power outages. One at the start of the game and another in the second quarter due to blown transformers.
