In a move that's shocked the fashion world French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld has resigned as editor, effective January. Carine said she is leaving to pursue personal projects. Her replacement has not yet been named. The Telegraph reports:
The announcement of Roitfeld's departure sent shockwaves around the fashion world and ignited heated speculation about who will succeed her at the helm of Vogue Paris. Early rumours point to Emmanuelle Alt, Roitfeld's loyal fashion director, as the natural choice.
"She has become a giant in her profession," Newhouse added. "Carine will be deeply missed. I am extremely grateful to her for what she has achieved."
