The Slicer sled from Ice Meister is unique in that it can be used in any season. When there is snow on the ground you can you use the sled as you would use a normal sled. In the summer months you can still use the Slicer because it has a slot underneath the sled where you can insert blocks of ice. In warm months there will not be any snow to soften your impact should you fall - the helmet the boy is wearing in the picture is a good idea for sledding in any season. The Slicer comes with an ice mold that you make in your freezer. The ice then slides into the slot underneath the sled so you sled is ready for use even if there is no snow on the ground. A PDF file from Ice Meister says the icer molds that make the ice for the sled can fit in a common side-by-side refrigerator/freezer.
