Legendary fashion designer Pierre Cardin, the creator of the bubble dress, has been released from the hospital. Cardin was hospitalized when he fell ill at the airport on his way to Greece to do a charity fashion show to benefit AIDS research.
The veteran style icon fell ill at a Paris airport shortly before he was due to board a flight to Greece, and was taken by ambulance to the city's American Hospital, reports buzzhollywood.com.
Doctors told the 87-year-old he had suffered a minor "vasovagal episode", a fall in blood pressure which can lead to unconsciousness.
Cardin was discharged later that night. The designer was hospitalised in May this year with similar symptoms, linked to his high blood pressure.
He was forced to miss the fashion show, which raised money for treatment for AIDS orphans in Africa.
The 87 year old Cardin spends most of his time on business projects and philanthropic endeavors. Cardin is one of France's wealthiest men, with a reported fortune of half a billion Euros.
