2010 Golden Globes: Meryl Streep Wins Best Actress in Comedy for Julie and Julia
Meryl Streep gave a very humble and moving speech to accept her Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her role as Julia Child in Julie and Julia. Meryl said she has played extraordinary women in her career and sometimes people mistakenly view her as one of them. She paid tribute to Julia Child and also to her mother, who also inspired her portrayal. Her words made Sandra Bullock tear up (she also lost her mother a few years ago). Meryl looked fabulous in a black dress, an elegant updo and crimson lipstick. Take a look:
