Tobii shared a prototype of its gaze tracking software for Windows 8 at CES 2012. Tobii says its software will revolution laptop interaction.
Tobbi had a game called Tobii EyeAsteroids (pictured above) on display, where you have to destroy asteroids by focusing on them with your eyes. Tobii also displayed its eye tracking controls for Windows 8. The Tobii Gaze interface uses a combination of eye gaze and touch pad to enable all seven primary touch commands of Windows 8, such as activate, select, zoom and scroll.
Christina Bonnington from Wiredsays the technology could also be used in vehicles to recognize sleepy drivers. This could potentially save the life of a driver about to run off the road. Take a look:
